Summer is finally here! HR Specialist and Envisionit party planner extraordinaire, Ali Hodson had been waiting weeks for the perfect summery day to host an ice cream social, and a couple weeks ago the stars aligned and it finally happened.
Ali and the rest of the events committee planned a 50’s soda shop-themed gathering, complete with soda jerk hats, “ice cream cone” balloons, and of course a multitude of ice cream and toppings (and maybe the root beer floats were spiked). There were even on-theme recipes written on the board in our conference room. Ali is particularly proud of the “Elvis,” which is vanilla ice cream, peanut butter cups, bananas, and chocolate syrup (get it?)
In addition to the colorful decorations, the team set the mood with a special Spotify playlist made for the event – just some jive beats to go with the cool treats of the afternoon and we want to share it! So here’s some rocking tunes for all you hep cats, greasers and paper shakers. Happy Summer!
