Finding a Chicago-specific, outdoorsy summer event that a few dozen people will agree on is no easy feat. Luckily there’s a beautiful sprawling outdoor music venue just a few miles north of the city. If you haven’t made it up to Ravinia, please make a point to go, their calendar is always filled with musical events for every imaginable genre, age-range, musical taste.
Our tastes found us on the lawn, ready for the Steve Miller Band to provide us with some good ole’ American rock nostalgia. Ravinia is a great summer outing–it’s close to the city, and its own Metra stop. It’s outdoors (hello-Summer!), and you can keep it low key with a cooler and blanket, or go all out with fancy catered food and their super-comfy rental chairs. Steve Miller Band garnered a great, laid-back crowd and it was the perfect night to listen to some familiar tunes and chill with coworkers.
