On September 20th, NASCAR revved up its championship series with the MyAFibRisk.com 400 at the home track of our friends at Chicagoland Speedway. Situated just a little over an hour from downtown Chicago, the venue offers a truly fan-friendly experience – you can even bring in your own food and beverages – for race enthusiasts and novices alike. And, our team was thrilled to head out and be a part of Summer’s Last Big Party.

After enjoying the interactive exhibits in Champions Park and a few ice cold refreshments in the tailgating area, we headed inside for a pre-race concert by country superstar and Illinois native Brett Eldredge. Following a stirring performance of our national anthem by the Chicago Blackhawks’ Jim Cornelison, it was time for sports legends Billie Jean King and Jerry West to call out, “gentlemen, start your engines.”

In addition to the excitement of one of the biggest sporting events of the year, we were astounded by the size and energy of the crowd. Despite local competition from the BMW Championship and a home Bears game, Chicagoland Speedway sold more than 60,000 tickets – their biggest crowd in five years. All of us were hooked from lap 1 all the way until the checkered flag for winner Denny Hamlin. And, we look forward to working with Chicagoland Speedway on another great season in 2016.
