Envisionit, an award-winning digital marketing agency based in Chicago, is seeking a Web Product Manager to join our growing team. Our clients span a number of industries including CPG, Emerging Tech, Hospitality and Travel and our teams boast many talents across the spectrum of digital. We are headquartered in Chicago and have a beautiful office overlooking Millennium Park and Lake Michigan that is available for our employees to use, as well as a flexible work-from-home option.

 

The role:

As a Web Product Manager, you will provide leadership, administration and management of a leading travel and tourism website. Overseeing the ongoing feature and functionality road map, you will collaborate with our cross-functional team to plan and execute a variety of website initiatives. You're able to understand the creative requirements almost as well as a designer, the technical requirements almost as well as a developer and communicate both in a way that results in clear tasks that need to be completed and the perfect solution being delivered. You'll be the champion of quality assurance, ensuring we always deliver a highly superb product at the highest possible value. You'll also dig into data to prepare reports, and collaborate on strategic optimizations.

Key functions:

  • Become an expert on all industry terminology, competition and business priorities
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the client category, business and vision and keep up with evolving strategic decisions that will impact planning and execution decisions 
  • Expert (and defender) of the purpose of the website, demonstrating a point of view on the user experience and ensuring that the user’s voice is present throughout the user journey
  • Author functional and technical requirements documentation that define the business rules and requirements for the execution team to follow 
  • Analyze and document risks and assumptions that are associated with the requirements and explain to clients what they mean and why they are significant
  • Manage website roadmap and backlog of new features, changes to existing features, and bug fixes
  • Produce project plans, schedules, sitemaps, wireframes that production teams can work from with ease
  • Monitor, analyze, and provide site performance reports and insights
  • Document website processes and procedures
  • Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues

What we’re looking for:

  • A critical thinker with a natural ability to see the whole solution in its entirety from an early stage and with few gaps, thus being able to manage the project’s risks and maintain momentum
  • Someone who will dig in and do a bit of research until they feel comfortable working with new technologies
  • Can bridge the worlds of marketing, users and technology, as well as weigh and accept necessary business decisions made by the client in relation to recommendations being made by our team
  • Experience with client management and providing a “buttoned-up” experience for the client, being highly responsive and helping to keep them organized and connected to project plans, timing, and requirements
  • Some knowledge or experience with accessibility, usability and UX/design best practices; programming and back-end decisions; SEO and analytics strategy
  • Experience with some of our tech platforms and tools: WordPress, Google Workspace, Slack, Google Analytics. Handy to have: Google Data Studio, Tag Manager, and Optimize

The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 3-5 years of professional experience with web technologies, user experience, and/or product management including creating documentation, sitemaps, process flows, and wireframes.
