Our third annual chili cook off brought out some fiery competition. Despite the theme, “Netflix and Chili,” the Envisionit office temporarily morphed into a culinary battlefield. Marketers-turned-chefs wielded their ladles while the judges shielded themselves with bottles of antacid at hand.
In the end, only one could emerge victorious: Bobby Lorenz defeated all odds to become Envisionit’s chili king with his “Bobby’s Chili” amassing the most Tum tablet votes. His chili had a signature taste that featured pork, beef and chicken. However, it was likely the bourbon and cotija cheese topping that set it apart.
Coming in at a close second was Laura Grace and her chili brisket tacos, made with over 50 ingredients.
But the spoils went to Lakeview Pantry, which received the non-perishable donations that were collected by all brave enough to taste-test the spread of chili.
Our stomachs look forward to what next year’s cook off will bring.
