Business Development Manager

About this position

We are Envisionit, an award-winning digital marketing agency approaching our 20th anniversary. We're looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to our team to capitalize on the rapid momentum within the Fintech space.

This role will be responsible for fueling growth through strategic prospecting, developing key relationships, and discovering new business opportunities. This is an outbound-focused role and the Business Development Manager's goal will be to maintain a consistent pipeline, nurture relationships and secure qualified opportunities. What you will receive from us is commitment to ensuring proper support with prospect research, industry analysis and additional investments across marketing and demand gen programming. Beyond that, you'll have access to a wealth of digital strategists representing our agency's disciplines.

The ideal candidate must bring a track record of exceeding a quota by targeting and closing deals with enterprise-level organizations. An integral part of this role will be demonstrating an understanding of Envisionit’s capabilities and positioning the organization’s services to each prospect so knowledge of digital marketing is a must. An interest for the Fintech space is a huge plus! 

We are targeting the enterprise class, so experience closing larger deals, having a go-getter mentality, and excellent relationship building skills will be crucial.

 

Key Functions:

  • Understand our capabilities, offering, target audience and perform the necessary outreach tactics with the ultimate goal of closing business for the agency (armed with a variety of resources and support staff)
  • Strategize with sales leaders to create a successful action plan
  • Manage end-to-end sales process from uncovering opportunity to closing deal
  • Proactively identify and quality key accounts, contacts and opportunities within the Fintech vertical and develop a customized 6-12 month outreach plan
  • Collaborate with team members to build and deliver proposals and pitches
  • Keep close tabs on the Fintech industry so that you are always up-to-date on news, trends, and other important happenings
  • Attend industry events (some travel required) as a means of obtaining business and to increase agency awareness
  • Maintain lead and opportunity information in agency CRM platform
  • Report to the Director of Business Development on sales results

What we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years of Business Development experience

  • A track record of successfully setting meetings for a professional services company with deal sizes in the six figures

  • Hands-on experience targeting enterprise-level organizations and knowledge of what tactics successfully secure business 

  • A go-getter, entrepreneurial attitude

  • Understanding of digital marketing 

  • Strong relationship building skills to develop new clients

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce), Google Docs, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • An interest in the Fintech industry
