Business Development Representative

About this position

We are Envisionit, an award-winning digital marketing agency approaching our 20th anniversary. We're looking to add an energetic and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to our team to capitalize on the rapid momentum within the Fintech space.

The BDR will help build the sales pipeline and contribute to the overall growth of our Fintech practice by having a single, important mission: To set meetings for the business development team. You’ll be armed with a wealth of thought leadership and content, a dedicated researcher and support from our team to help you succeed.

Our ideal candidate will have previous success generating meetings with qualified prospects leveraging a variety of sales tactics including but not limited to: prospect research, email, calling, social selling, networking, and nurturing engaged leads. Since an integral part of this role includes having an understanding of Envisionit’s capabilities and appropriately positioning services to each prospect, experience or knowledge of digital marketing is a must.


Key Functions

  • Understand our capabilities, offerings, and target audience

  • Perform outreach tactics with the ultimate goal of setting up meetings for the business development team. 

  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and the business development team by:

    • Using research and prospecting strategies to lead initial outreach

    • Identifying the needs and challenges of the prospective customer and suggest appropriate services

    • Engaging prospects that have interacted with our site, downloaded content, etc. 

    • Contacting potential clients through calling, emails, and other outreach channels

    • Proactively seeking new business opportunities in the market

  • Report to the Director of Business Development on sales results

What we’re looking for:

  • 3-5 years of B2B Enterprise-level Outbound experience
  • A track record of successfully setting meetings for a professional services company with deal sizes in the six figures
  • Hands-on experience with cold, outbound sales techniques 
  • A understanding of digital marketing 
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce), Google Docs, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role
  • Interest in digital marketing and Fintech
