SEO Coordinator

Envisionit, an award-winning digital marketing agency based in Chicago, is seeking a SEO Coordinator to join our growing team. Our clients span a number of industries including CPG, Emerging Tech, Hospitality and Travel, and our teams boast many talents across the spectrum of digital. We are headquartered in Chicago and have a beautiful office overlooking Millennium Park and Lake Michigan that is available for our employees to use, as well as a flexible work-from-home option.

Key functions:

• Day-to-day management of SEO program and roadmaps against approved strategy
• Implementation of SEO strategies and recommendations
• Provide ongoing suggestions, recommendations and insights to SEO Manager
• Perform ongoing keyword and competitive research to influence new SEO opportunities
• Optimize content and landing pages for search engine optimization
• Analyze performance reports; ensure accuracy and uncover insights
• Proactive communication of campaign performance to SEO Manager

What we’re looking for:

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage SEO projects from start through implementation
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• The curiosity and ambition to be an organic search subject matter expert, and the drive to learn new concepts, technologies and trends in the digital marketing world
• Desire to collaborate across departments, specifically with web development, UX, web designers, and creative copywriting teams
• Demonstrated ability to deliver upon a variety of tasks, from keyword research and on-page SEO to technical SEO and off-page SEO (link building and local SEO)
• Knowledge of key ranking factors and how search engines crawl and index a website
• Experience with analytics and SEO tools, or willingness to learn new platforms (eg: Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, Ahrefs, Semrush, etc.)
• Familiarity with website audit tools (e.g., Screaming Frog and Site Bulb)
• A basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Understanding of Wordpress - familiarity of other CMS platforms is a bonus

The ideal candidate for this position will have 2-3 years of post-internship, hands-on experience with search engine optimization.
